Uzumaki: Spiral into Horror S01

Kurauzo-cho, a small, fog-shrouded town on the coast of Japan, is beset by a deadly curse. According to Shuichi Saito, the introverted boyfriend of Kirie Goshima, the town is not haunted by a person or being, but by a pattern: the uzumaki, a hypnotic spiral that draws in the world. The pattern appears in small ways: seashells, ferns, whirlpools in water, and air pockets in the air. And in larger ways: the spiral marks on people's bodies, Shuichi's father's maddening obsessions, and the sound of the cochlea in your ear. As the madness spreads, the residents of Kurauzo-cho become more and more entwined in the spiral, as if being pulled into a vortex from which there is no return.
